Overview
The Quod team have been London City Airport’s planning advisors since 2006. The team secured consent for additional flight movements in 2009 and advises the airport on planning matters on a day-to-day basis.
Details
In 2016, Quod secured permission under the Town and Country Planning Act for the comprehensive redevelopment of much of the airport. The proposals were for new airfield infrastructure, a new passenger terminal, hotel and related developments. Quod represented the airport on planning matters at the planning and Compulsory Purchase Order inquiry.
OUR ROLE
Quod has since secured minor material amendments to the permission through a section 73 permission in 2024, as well as other related applications for the retention of existing permitted development rights and additional temporary development working with a team involving architects, aviation specialists, environmental and transport consultants, and energy and sustainability consultants. Quod provided CIL and socio-economic advice in addition to planning consultancy services and team coordination.
