OUR ROLE
Quod provided planning, socio-economic and environmental advice to support a detailed planning application for London City Lionesses’ new training ground at Cobdown Park in Aylesford, Kent. The proposals included new First Team and Academy facilities, upgraded pitches, landscaping works, parking and the diversion of an existing Public Right of Way. Through extensive pre-application engagement with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Kent County Council and stakeholders including Sport England, Quod addressed concerns relating to the loss of existing sports uses and demonstrated the significant community and sporting benefits delivered by the scheme. The approved development will support the long-term growth of elite women’s football in England.
