Quod acted as Expert Witness through the SoS appeal, and has been actively involved in planning amendments, new applications and deeds of variation across the estate.
OUR ROLE
Quod has supported the delivery of over 2.2m sq ft of “big-shed” industrial floorspace, including a new 42m unit for TJ Morris and a 22m unit for Iceland.
Quod’s role has spanned both planning and socio-economics advisory, playing a key role in the case making for the appeal, while also managing the appeal process on behalf of Miller Developments.
Since the appeal was allowed, Quod has worked closely with St Helens Officers to undertake various significant amendments to the planning application to ensure occupier requirements can be met, including the diversion of the Whittle Brook watercourse, the reorientation of buildings, and the amending of use classes

Overview
Quod is retained by Miller Developments to act as strategic and day-to-day planning lead at Omega Business Park – the largest mixed use development site in the North West of England. Quod successfully led the Omega West application for 2.2m sq ft of B2/B8 development in the Green Belt through a SoS appeal, and has since supported the delivery of various associated consents across the wider estate.
